This problem occurs on some distro's of linux (such as Ubuntu 6.10).
Add the following lines to /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "0"
EndSection
|
You'll need to restart X (or reboot) for the changes to take effect.

I went back from FF2.0 to FF1.5.0.8 ... I couldnt change my themes and not all the extentions from FF1.5.0.8 were working on FF2.0 !
IŽll stay on FF1.5.0.8 for a bit now.
