Hi there,
I'm currently trying to play moo with a friend via internet. We both got moo version 1.4 and dosbox v0.74 running.
We now tried to start a server (with ipxnet startserver xxxx in dosbox option file), but if the other one tries to connect (with ipxnet connect xx.x.xxx.xxx xxxx) dosbox gives the message: "ipx tunnling client failed to connect to server xx.x.xxx.xxx". Turning off firewall etc. didn't help.
Any ideas what could solve our problem? We couldn't try to connect to other people so far. Could different OS (win xp and vista) cause the connection error?
Thanks in advance,

If the host is under the ruter he should setup port forwarding (virtual server) for UTP 213. This is the port moo2 uses. Here is useful link: http://portforward.com/routers.htm
Otherwise you can use free server (no portforwarding needed):
ipxnet connect intangir.org
both connect to the server, one setups the game, other joins. |
