These files are great, but what about rearranging the tech tree, altering the costs of buildings, altering the speed/space/structural points of ship hull sizes, etc.?

How do you rejoin the lbx files once you've edited different parts of them? I get an error message "thread error: the handle is invalid 6"

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hiya, is it possible to change the Leader Pictures with the moo2 Workshop?

Now it is impossible. But in the near future it will be possible. I have completed to write the Picture Editor, now I translate on English its Help.
Since Grig is inactive himself I decided to upload the said picture editor:

Also another useful tool - the 'Balance Editor' - allows to add your own tables for the known offsets (already includes all tables available in OCL):

Overlord2, those two links have been deleted. Do you think you could re-upload them or email me the files? I am working on a MoO2 full conversion for the game "Distant Worlds" and it would be super helpful. My email:

THANKS! MOO2 FOREVER!

Can't Use Workshop w Windows 7

Postby Maskk » Fri Jul 29, 2011 6:56 pm

Hi,

I use Windows 7 and have a version of MOO that is 1.31 and uses the comment by JeffBG51 to run:
http://www.sevenforums.com/gaming/34302 ... tly-2.html

I run the batch file to open the game.

I tried to edit my stuff with the Workshop in Window's 7, and it will neither load the files the game uses properly, nor will it open the helpfile.

Please advise, I would love to be able to give my base MOO some tweaks, like leader balancing and game balancing.

Most likely it was written for win 32 and doesn't support 64-bit OS. I don't use 64-bit OS so can't advise. Write a pm to Grig de Griz, he might know the solution.

The download link in the first post seems dead.
Is the text editor still available somewhere?

It works, why do you say it's dead?

It seems that the link was in a temporary coma rather than actually dead... :)

Can't tell anything about Grig's website, but MoO2 Workshop is now available on Nirran's page.
