I just built an unusual race that seems to be really well ballanced.

Uni
Sub
Cyb
lrg HW
+1 prod
-1/2 Food
-20 def
-10 spying
-10 ground combat


pretty solid race. try it and tell me what you think. :)

This reminds me of a race in another post I mentioned, combined with a recient post of subt vs aqua.

The race you built should work well on the more advanced games.
Aqua/Rich instead of Subt/Lg hw would do better in early starts.

Try this variant:
Uni
Aqua
Cyb
+1 prod
Rich HW
-1/2 Food
-20 def
-10 spying
-10 ground combat

If no comps involved or 1 vs 1 games: repuls, -10 GC, -20 SD would be a better choice of Negatives.
With those, and the race I mentioned.
1 farmer feeds all of your starting pop.
I can have my first transport built by turn 2.
Only UniTolPrd+1Lghw, can do that, and they have a food problem, mine won't.
MOO1 Fan, MOO2 Fan, MOO3 needed too many changes = hopeless, getting older waiting for a MOO4 (still).

yeah, Aqua is faster at starting. but for a large multi player with 7 comps (I don't play on kali) Repuls hurts. doable, but painful. Aqua is good for quick start, but I tend to find nothing but arid,desert,barren or worse when I play an aqua race. lol. so I typically go with sub. If I could emplement just one change to MOOII I'd make farming harder, and more difficult to get a surplus.
