What are the rules to have the galatic Senat in the Game?

Hello!

Could anyone please tell me the rules for the galatic senate?
Sometimes the senat comes, sometimes not.......i suggest everytime I would win the election it doesn´t come anymore
So what game specivications do I need to get the senate?

It happens when most of the systems in the galaxy are claimed. At least that's what is says in the manual. I think it only applies to single player.

What does the word "claimed" mean? colonized?
If that would be true, than I would have the answer why I never get the senat when I´d be able to become elected...because I destroy too many Planets

Ps: How many Races must be left to have a senat election? 2 others or 3 others?

I think it's just one other race but it's never happened that way for me. If there are no other races left you end up winning by conquest.

I think the best thing to do to win the vote is to have the most population and planets. Instead of wiping out alien races, conquer them. Always build colony bases whenever possible and keep moving pop from full planets to new so that there is always room to grow.

Thanks a lot, but the strategy is no problem, the only problem is that I was not sure what to do to start the hole senate electing procedure.

I think my problem was that there were too less systems colonized by everyone, by me and my enemys.
