hi!

me and my friend are playing Moo2 in hot seat mode for some years. In these years we made some house rules which i'll list here for commnets/notification: (and you can try it if interested)
we found it very balanced..

-settings:

always prewarp
small-large galaxy

-race picks modified (we made the less attractive picks better, the good picks are more expensive)

-number of colonies limited: max 7 colony, sum rating 20 (tiny 1, small 2 etc)
-no colonybase in home system (no advantega if you have good planets there, because you have to build colony ships anyway)
-worm holes cannot be used
-splinter colony (unguarded9 must be abadoned)- I have the 1.4 patch thanks a lot for it :), but my friend hadn't installed it)
-rocket ships can only have 10 rounds rockets
-there cannot be planetary bombardment after battle. (must bring marines)

I may have forgot something, but these are the major things. in our games (mostly because the prewarp settings and the planet number limitation) the unification races don1t have advantage. (uni: 8 picks, democracy 10 picks)

.... and we cannot check any statistic/info about the other player

my big problem is that we can see each other's points. It's no good...
