NoScan switch

This is one of db's ideas on a switch that act's like the no report switch but for battle scanner in battle. This would seem logical to have this abilitly and that militaries would invest into it for battle dominace. Many advantages for example which ship has the warp disp.

My thoughts
Perhaps some techs would trigger this, say like class 1 shields decreases scan sucess by 25% that gives 75% chance to see a printable data field on ship and the scan would be done for each field. stronger shields would probably increase scan blocking.
Other techs might also give other increases inbloicking scans.
The flip side of that coin is true also some techs would inprove scaning
for example a ship equiped with scout labs could use the science, lab like Mr. Spock did all the time on the Star Trek.

I realize that % scanning might not work due to access to code, but toggles might work so a scan flag can be overriden based on the tech of each side, Welcome to the arms race in Electronic Warfare =)
I'm a big fan of EW it wins battles =)

Side hey why note why no science officers in tng and ds9?

In moo1 you needed the battle scanner to scan in battle. (this might be a good reason why its called battle scanner :P )

scout lab (which useless at moment) sounds also good.

Nice Idea!
