Topic name says it all.
  • Would be nice to resolve pirates as real ships (with specific owner, just like monsters). They could cause blockade in natural way, via "enemy presence" check. Should be removed to get rid of blockade in normal way, no blackbox calculations. Can be captured and scraped (though normal monsters haven't this). Based on auto-design routine, either copy with "second-best" techs over "best" or normal started for system's main owner (it's crappy anyway) with some tweaks. :) Maybe, with possibility of 1-2 additional low to mid techs like Heavy Armor or Reinforced Hull / Troop Pods / Assault Shuttles / Cloak. If possible, each pirate ship makes little random walk around system, so blockade is intermittent but depends on total ship number, and unlikely to be completely wiped in single battle.
  • Comet is real "monster ship" too. With great Beam Defence (special athomsphere-like shield if possible), totally passive like captured, incapturable like monsters. Nuke out its vast Armor and Structure, and it's gone. Several approaches are possible — it cannot autorepair, after all. And it must survive contact with planetary defences to finally strike planet.
