Hmmm, really?

I pasted them in autoexec part of the dosbox.conf file and observed no trouble at all.

For example:

orion2~1 /skipintro /nowh /nobh

lol,
i just posted this whole post over in support:
viewtopic.php?p=1838#1838

but anyhow, i got moo2 to work over linux/windows as well.

it seems pretty easy once you get it right.

i got

amd sempron 2600
512mb ram

debian 3.1 r2

i used a source install, but you could use a package install as well, if you already have the dependancies installed first already. another thing about having a source install is you know for once where in the god knows world your dosbox is installed or parked at on your hard drive. with packages you cant tell anything.

but because of dosbox, we should be able to play moo2 cross platforms on just about any systems as long as they have a fat32 drive setup on their computer, or just simply have the dos moo2 files installed on their computer.

i know it works with linux, windows, and im pretty sure it should work with macs as well since mac OS X is based on darwin which is a linux actually i think if im right. basically the core of the new mac OS X which has been around since 2001 i think is basically unix. so im prettty sure macs also have some way of mounting vfat drives if they needed to.

Sweet frontend for dosbox. Works wonders for moo2.

my current dosbox.conf settings .... maybe useful for someone to compare etc.
===========================
[sdl]
# fullscreen -- Start dosbox directly in fullscreen.
# fulldouble -- Use double buffering in fullscreen.
# fullresolution -- What resolution to use for fullscreen: original or fixed size (e.g. 1024x768).
# windowresolution -- Scale the window to this size IF the output device supports hardware scaling.
# output -- What to use for output: surface, overlay, opengl, openglnb, ddraw.

# sensitiviy -- Mouse sensitivity.

# Second entry behind the comma is for when dosbox is not focused/minimized.

# usescancodes -- Avoid usage of symkeys, might not work on all operating systems.

According to the forums, dosbox looks for dosbox.conf in the current directory, so you don't need to put it in your desktop link file. You can even have a different config for every game installed.

Thx, didnt know about dosbox in different folders....though I just use it for MOO2 (and mods) which are all in the same folder. ....and we have to alter the file often: different switches / IPs for online games.....so a desktop shortcut is extremely useful.
