Lead Game Designer

We are looking for a Lead Game Designer to work on a stealth mode start-up from home either part time or full time depending on your availability. This is your chance to get in at the beginning and work on an exciting project.

Your role will be to design the game play, combat system and basic UI of a web-based MMOG.

Responsibilities:
• Design basic game play mechanisms and user interface
• Create and manage content and creative resources
• Plan and help prototype complex UI for a large game
• Balance game play features and mechanics
• Focus on usability, game play and fun!

Requirements:
• Must love games and have 5 years of game design experience
• Passionate and creative with the ability to work with other people
• Creative writing and/or artistic skills highly desired
• Solid understanding of traditional PC gameplay mechanics (RTS and 4X)
• Ability to take direction and accept critical review of your work
• Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation
• Be able to focus on work without micro-management.

This is a stealth mode start-up and as such compensation is initially in the form of non-cash incentives with the expectation to start earning a salary when the company receives funding. Most of our current team is working ten to fifteen hours a week with a few working full time.
