Well... when i saw Mathew's thread, that was the last straw, so i started making my own Moo3.
My skills and knowledge are not that good
Obvious features:
- 3D map (quite logical)
- RTS battles (logical again, i have to be carefull with this, i don't want it to be just another click fest)
- Departure from rolling dice to physics based combat???? i don't know.
So, coming up with ideas its not that dificult (i already have some good ones, i guess) but programming them and the graphics engine, that's going to be veeeeery hard.
I'm afraid of using 3rd party 3d engines cause of the complexity, all i want is a 3d engine that grabs objects applies all the neat stuff that 3D engines do (shaders and shit) and slam them into the screen (GUI also ).
Another thing is.... i've only made very simple programs a few source and header files compiled into a executable plus some txt or bmp's for simple gfx. I'm really apprehensive about the quantity and diversity of files in a game.
So there you go. My sucky project.
