Looks good, but I did not see any Screen Hardcopy - well its early.
But someone wrote there will be no tactical combat ;).

Anyway the future is open source and we will do a html5 game which could be played by anyone for free with exactly original game design. It's not such a big deal with the data from the russian lbx-editor. Beta will be 2016 .

Do Computer add costs to ships ? Have this problem with 1 +cost with cruisers and +2 w BS which are not from weapon or extras.

I know I am in the minority but I think this is fantastic.

I am not a expert Moo/Moo2 player and I still play both, played it last night actually.

It says something for the legacy and continued playability of this amazing game that they are still trying to outdo it.

I am confused as to the "no tactical battles". I will be honest, I can only win up to average difficulty (yah I suck) but I always do tactical battles. How can you not play this way? Boggles my mind.

Anyhow, great videos, keep them coming. Darloks look awesome imo, Mrrshan not so much....just look like space cats, not very alien.

I am disgusted by lack of tactical battles. See Star Drive 2, their tactical battles are pretty good, even thou they are in real time, it works pretty damn well! Any game without tactical battles seems like a half-hearted effort. This game seems like a half-hearted effort with emphasis on "shiny" instead of "deep." Regardless, I will probably buy it, because I cannot help myself, then proceed to whine because I was not pleasantly surprised, just like everyone else here.

Moo4 is a shalow game that take a bit from MOO, MOO2 and Civilization series. Sound and gfx is ok or above ok (music is actually great but some sound effects are too loud and happen to often). Single player game is a bit boring and focus mostly on building empire and moving population around. Just keep in mind it is not as deep as moo2. There is no growth formula, no resource management on empire scale and you have very limited options.

Multiplayer is better suited for games with many players and is all about building empire. There will be no community for duels.

Basically they removed so many things that not much left. Moo2 is in completely different league. Moo1 is simpler that moo4 but if you want to focus on tactical battles moo1 is 10x better. I don't see a single strong point in moo4. Sure they made multiplayer games a lot faster but i'm not sure there will be a lot of players willing to play it.

Broke down and got it... Yes I can tell it is a work in progress. Some things I like, lot of things I hate or they just aren't there yet :) Right now for most techs you get all the tech, and the buildings aren't tuned yet, you can tell. I'm hoping they will add more choices and force you to make choices.

I don't like that growth is food related. That is super gimmicky, even if biologically correct. Though StarDrive II had pretty good use for excess food, by making it produce money.

I do like how there are limited number of jobs, and how the first few workers tend to have higher benefits.

I do also like the way pollution is handled, very cool.

AI just is absent.

The game does now have tactical combat, it's real time thou, and rather clunky.

This game needs lot of work, hopefully it shall receive it. But I can see them just letting the game rot if they get too much early access money.

On a side note I did watch a compelling let's play of MoO3. The guy was so good at the game that he actually made the game look playable. It was interesting to say the least.
