http://masteroforion2.blogspot.com/2004 ... nline.html - see errors section. You should try dosbox also. It became very popular due to less crashes, possibility to play in window mode and running on almost every pc ( windows and linux). Meet us at Kali; there you can find answers to your other questions

unfortunately it doesn't help. I've installed with install.exe , i've sp2 and the 1.4 works fine in single pl. mode..

I'll try kali soon, but I think i will have the same problem if i want to start or want to join to a game.

I think you should CAREFULLY go through EVERY step of this guide. From my expearence it appears that guys trying to configure moo and Kali overlook something and that is the reason it doesn't work. GL :)

but we still cannot play because my friend got a black screen.
in "most common errors" section on Siron's blog you can read:11 J Moo2 doesn't start at all (blank screen): Probably a driver conflict. I recommend to use DosBox in this case: http://masteroforion2.blogspot.com/2006 ... guide.html I recommend it too. I have 3 computers at home One with win98 dedicated to Moo and 2 others with xp, where i couldn't make Moo run( blank screen , and 60 hz refresh rate- eye killer  ) ... till dosbox. Currently i play Moo almost exclusively by dosbox. I have less crashes and can chat with my friends while in game. That's really cool :)
