Racial extremes

Versus Computer, Vanilla 1.31.
Please feel free to make suggestions.

Virii: (aka: Virus; spread everywhere instantly)
Subterranean
Aquatic
+100% Growth
-20 Atk
-20 Def
-10 GC
Fuedalism (?)
(...?!)

Skipped Tolerant because of Plantary size class bonus

Hammer,MC (aka: Can't-Touch-This)
Cybernetic
Transdimensional
Warlord
+50 Def
-10 GC
-10 Spy
Low Gravity (I know it's with cyber: suggest better)
Notes:
Augmented Engines
Battle Pods (when needed)
Lots of empty space

The speed of this race was amazing - crossing the whole battlemap on turn one to point-blank (with assault shuttles, EMG missiles, etc) was neat and offered very interesting new possibilities; consider how effective your enemy's starbases are when you're raiding them on Turn 1. Also, having BB with the mobility and defense of a FF was mind boggling.

Morganites (aka: Turn Advantage)
+1 BC
Democracy
Large HW
Fantastic Traders
-10 Spy
-10 GC
Low Gravity

Turn Advantage means you buy your buildings. With a 1 -> 1 conversion rate of industry to money (and a 2 -> 1 back), the extra bonuses mean your industry is liquid; wherever you need something built, whenever you need something built, it's done. The ability to react and acquire every opportunity is in this race.
I know money races are good, but I haven't tried this combination yet.

I wanted to post these because they seem unusual. Any ideas?

I see you chose non-uni races, which is fine. Adding Unification will usually improve any race.
Sticking with your theme, I played a different one reciently:
Tolerant
+1BC
Rich HW
Rep, -10GC, -10 SD

Which worked out surprisingly well.
Expands anywhere, Efficient industry, Lots of cash, Good pop modifier, Could choose morale buildings (but, usually stole them).
With time to grow, did well.
MOO1 Fan, MOO2 Fan, MOO3 needed too many changes = hopeless, getting older waiting for a MOO4 (still).

on v1.40.
I usually play Pre-Space-Age games

Creative 8 / Subterranean 6 / Artifacts 3 / Pop Grow 3
Rep -6 / BC-4
- Very fun in Advanced Games vs the Computer
( its too upsetting starting an Advanced game on Repulsive but without Creative... )

Unified 6 / Telepathic 6 / Warlord 4 / Artifact 3 / Large 1
Rep -6 / BC -4
- Outpace the Enemy and Mind Control them!

Unified 6 / Telepathic 6 / Warlord 4 / Artifact 3 / Large 1
Low G -5 / Spy -3 / Ground -2
- Same as above, best if you have a Slave Race (Sakkra is best) nearby / restart still its there, you can go, which eliminates your Low-G penalty. Its fun giving away Systems then attacking them for Tech, there's no penalty at all...

Unified6 / Cyber4 / Subterranean 6 / Artifacts 3 / Large 1
Rep -6 / BC-4
- By using Housing, you can easily expand to fill the universe. Cyber means you have 50% less Food to worry about, Unified feeds the rest almost for free and there are no Morale issues at new Colonies.
- Artifacts 3 Large 1 are for the research boost in Pre-Space games.
- If you are going for some or any of the following - "Average-Tech" / Planet Mods (eg Goodmaps) / v1.40 Commandline (/richstart /hugestart) - you may want to go with Warlord 4 instead, it matches great with with Cyber4. You'll be drowning in Command Points, and your Tritanium Armor will go long way...
