Persistent Mouse Problems

Postby Cole_Deschain » Mon Dec 04, 2006 11:09 am

Okay. I recently got my mitts on a copy of MoOII, and was anxious to relive some of my old experiences blasting the crap out of things.

However, there's a wee bit of a snag.

My mouse doesn;t seem to be well-beloved by the ol' program, and I lose control of it once I actually enter the screen to set up a game.

I've tried disabling all the lovely directX stuff. No dice.
I've tried disabling hardware accleration for my video card. No dice.

I've set the compatability to Windows '95 AND done the above.

No good.

Am I cursed, or what?

I'm running XP Pro (2002), my mouse is a totally generic old compaq piece of crap.

I'm sorta at the end of my tether on this one.

Do you refer to the win version (orion95.exe) or dos version (orion2.exe)? Anyway, dos version under DOSbox should solve the problem.

Let's see....

Looking the little bugger over, it reads as simply Orion95.

Further digging shows the ugly ol' 95... and no DOS version.

Heads will roll.

Apply the last official 1.31 patch (it is in LBs dl section IIRC). It contains the orion2.exe. Just add it...and see my signature for the DOSbox guide.
