Getting Started...Little Help

I have been playing MOO2 for quite a while but never online before and would like to get started. I have v1.1 and run XP SP2 and have never had any of the problems that you describe and wonder about these version updates.

Here come the questions...
1) Do I need the latest update to play multiplayer?
2) If yes to 1) then where can I get the latest updates?
3) What is the best program to search for games kali or dosbox?

Anything else that I missed then let me know.

1) Yes. 1.4 patch is default.
