Problem Ceating Network game (home network)

Postby MattMan » Fri Sep 08, 2006 12:52 am

Both are XP Pro Laptops (one is actually and MCE)

Both games are fresh installtions with the proper patch's and autoexec2.nt files.

Both laptops can get it and see eachother.

Either can make a network game, the other joins and i click "start game with 2 human players"

I proceed to pick my race, when im done i choose my name a color then when i click "accept" the host screen goes black and the 2nd human player's screen is stuck on "awaiting connection"

Anyone have any ideas how i can actually get in the netowrk game? something is getting blocked before the second person can choose their race/name....

thanx in advance

Have you tried dosbox with ipx enabled?

You might also check to see if either machine has a firewall enabled.

Firewall's are down.

And last night i tried Dosbox... everything worked perfectly.. Even the sound crackling was gone and turns have 0 lag time.

Next im gonna try it over the net. thanx
