MoO2 wont go past initial loading screen

I downloaded MoO2 off a torrent. I ran all the setup files and then installed the 131 patch. I also used the xp compatibility wizard to make sure it would work. Once I started the everything seems fine the start up movie plays and everything. But once it gets to the Master of orion is loading please wait screen it just sits there playing the music.

Ive been trying everything i can think of. But still the same thing, sometimes though the master of orion is loading test wont even be there. It will just be the music and the master of orion pointer on black screen.

mebbe simply some file is corrupted?

Have you tried the demo here?

When it works the problem should be related to your downloaded version.

I tried the demo and it started up. It must be some file corruption, now i just need to find the game someplace else.
