I run a DOS only machine can I get 1.4?

I built an old k6-2 for playing dos games on, and I would much like to use the latest patches and such.. Is there any hope for me?

Also could you-all recomend some dos based editors for Moo II

Rigel,

The patched version 1.4 of orion2.exe will run fine on a DOS only machine. There is a problem however. The patcher (the program that you download from my site and use to apply the patch to the exe) is a windows program and can only be run from windows. Once the patch is applied though, you can run orion2v140.exe from a DOS machine. So you would need to patch the v1.31 orion2.exe on a windows machine then copy orion2v140.exe to the DOS machine to play.

Let me see if I got this right..

1. unzip the 1.31 into a directory on a windows machine
2. unzip the 1.40 in the same directory
3. run the patch
4. burn all files to a cd
5. copy all files into my mps/orion2 directory on the DOS machine
6. run moo2 using the 1.4 exe

Do I have it right?

Well I tried and sadly it did not work. The patcher said I was not using the DOS 1.31 version I reverified that it was the DOS only version.

I have a couple of more ideas to try.

You must not have the v1.31 english version of orion2.exe in the same directory as the patcher. The patcher will only patch that version.

I could not get orion2 1.33 to run on pure DOS (6.22c), but Win95b-DOS worked fine.
