cant join a Moo2 game

everytime i join a Moo2 game on kali it works fine untill i get to network and click join game. then i will get stuck at the "waiting to join game" screen.

Im guessing its a firewall

My computer is in a wireless network and the host might be blocking the game.

Make sure you are running the Dos version of MOOII and the 1.40 patch
Than make sure that your firewall is set to allow MOOII get there from Control panel.

I have tried to assist DFA with his problem. Based on our conversations the firewall on his MOO PC is disabled. He has been given the appropriate links and should be setup for version 1.4.

I guess u r using a router.

Put ur PC into DMZ mode.
Further shut down all firewalls.

The only thing else I know is that he is using XP.

Put ur PC into DMZ mode.
Further shut down all firewalls.

Look also into windows services about firewalls ... !

Then u should try on kali again !

I'm using 2 pc's running under XP home edition ( SP2 )and the patch 1.40b21.
I already solved the problem with the "comm failure" bug and the SP2 bug.
But when i open a game and want to join with the other pc then i also get stuck at the "waiting to join game" screen. ( Zone Alarm is closed/ Windows Firewall is disable.

I'm afraid You won't be able to play Moo by lan with XP. You can do it by Kali. I have 2 pc at home and had the same problem. But when joined Kali (both pc) it was ok. It seems Kali creates some lan enviroment which makes Mooing posslible.

I tested it with 2 PC over 1 Internet line. I tested it via kali. First time I tryd I had the same problem ... ! After I closed ZoneAlarm, I could sucesfully play with myself !
