I havent dug very deep into the shields yet. Here is the shields table as I understand it. I'll update it later as learn more.

The 12 unknowns in the center are sizes and costs for the 6 ship classes.
Last entry in these tables is value for strat combat (also in other tables).

Siron, what you meant under "Last entry in these tables is value for strat combat"? The same value is in the Armors Table, but I can not understand that it. I not see results in the space combat after change this values.

This values: (0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250).

I could verify that the last columns of the ship specials and hull table effect the AI ship design in strategical combat. So I assumed that the last columns in the armor, shield and weapon tables are also related to strategical combat. Since there seems to be generally (in tact and strat combat) an autoupdate of armor and shields these values might be redundant.

It seems that you are right that they dont effect the battle result. (At least no effect when you use the stock ships. I have just tested it...I will look further.) So I am clueless at moment what they could influence when they are not redundant...

seems to have no effect on history graphs....or the probability to gain techs by scrapping ships.
