Postby Tigerbear » Fri Sep 23, 2005 4:16 pm

Hi folks, i would like to make a Mod for my Singleplayer Game Moo2
At anytime i didnt liked it that the Tech Costs are so low. For me the Reaching of Certin Techs is to easy... or to fast...

I Would like to Rise the RP Costs, want to add a 0 or 00 to the vaules.

Can anyone pls tell me what file i have to Mod? What position, and What Programs i need for this?

Would be Fine!

Hi!

I created several my own mods with OCL editor from Russian programist Dmitry (not our Dmitry from kali ;) ) .

ftp://ftp.sff.net/pub/people/zoetrope/M ... Techs/OCL/

check this link and learn how to import data and export it to orion file

backup orion2.exe and techname.lbx!

ocl has problems with 1.40 b20 and above patches. b19 and lower version can be easly modded.

here u will find my 2 mods: balance 1.8 and revolution 1.0

OCL modifies tables in the orion2.exe file. The v1.40 patch moves those tables to a different file location in the orion2v140.exe file which will likely confuse OCL.

I think you should be able to use OCL to patch the v1.31 version of orion2.exe and then apply the v1.40 patch ontop of it after the mods have been done. I haven't tried it myself...

hmmm ... seems to be cool idea but I tried it already. Your patch said: wrong orion2.exe file version or etc. Could give me some link to program in which I could see data inside exe and lbx?

Oh ya...I forgot, my patch checks the exe to make sure its a normal v1.31 orion2.exe...

Its probably best anyways :lol: OCL makes it to easy to cheat online.

hmm never thinked to cheat with ocl, but it seems possible. Well since its easy to cheat in moo2 anyway - more ways to cheat wont make me feel bad. I got nothing to hide :)

TF0 : "Starting Tech" , 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0;

on my file it looks like that above

TF1 : "Advanced Biology" , 1, 18, 34, 0, 0, 400, 5;

its 2nd line where 400 is a cost of RPs and first numbers u better not change :)
