Security Stations

Are security stations really so effective that they deserve to be grouped with EMG in the 1500 slot? Or is there some deeper reason for placing them where they currently are? Hints appreciated.

Emg is cool especially with merculite missiles, but i often go for pollution proc, skipping merculite missiles though. Then i tend to tech security stations as a good defense against raids. Especially in DC mod where you can tech powered armour such extra defense could be usefull. So...here we have difficult choice again :).

Ok, I think I see. Security stations are good against a raiding strategy with for example tractors and powered armor...because both tractors and pa are now viable choices...very nice.
