May have DOS version after all...

Postby Green_Knight » Fri Jul 20, 2007 12:59 am

So the 2551k 'Orion2.exe' file ofund on my CD is actually the DOS executable? How nice...thanks a lot; I wondered what that was, but never got around to trying it.

So, to run the game in DOS version, do I need to make a DOS-boot disk and run it from there? This here brings back fond memories of playing the original MOO on my DOS PC...

Anyway, so the only real difference between the DOS and WIN versions of the game is in the .exe? So both versions use the very same game files?

OK,

Was a little quick there. I found and excellent instalation guide. But the other question stands...is only the .exe different? Or are there other differences as well?

Btw: This should probably not be in the mod board; sorry about that.

Dos version uses different exe and rkernel.com.
Win version the different dll files.

All other files are identical AFAIK.
