Re: Rules question
Also I couldn't find the website containing a suitable rule for this, although I do remember reading them once.. i can't find them on lordBrazens site. Most are still abiding by the old TSL rules. Here is a link. Most of rules still apply. http://www.masteroforion2.com/4381/tsl.htm I will post some...

Next you will need to edit the c:\windows\system32\autoexec2.nt file and make sure it reads as follows. Make sure the dosx_sp1 (bolded) is the same filename you used for the old dosx. Also, make sure the path to the Kali install folder (bolded) is correct. @echo off REM Load DOS mode CD-ROM support...

Re: moo1 switch
So what about a moo1-switch where these problems are solved? For example: 1. BuildingTechs were treated as achievements. (No more boring building lists.) 2. Defacto uncreative tech tree (mebbe a bit more balanced) where you cant see in advance which techs are researchable. 3. More than 1 missile ba...

Re: Problems with autoexec.nt/autoexec2.nt dosx.exe/dosx_sp1
If it would be possible I would say, that the old autoexec.nt should be renamed to autoexec_backup.nt or so, while the AUTOEXEC2.NT should take the autoexec.nt name. Further "SP2 dosx" should be copyd or renamed, to backup it also, and the "old sp1 dosx" should replace the "SP2 dosx". Unfortunately...

Balancing neighborhood. Difficult. And Racepicks should have no influence IMHO. thats why we need to balance our neighbourhood, but not depends on racepicks imo !!! I haven't really stated my thoughts clearly I guess. I see from what you both have stated, you seem to have read that I think all race...

Re: 800x600 resolution
Main web site and this board is a 1024x768 web site and it looks abit ugly on 800x600. Its nothing big really. But tables with % instead of hard numbers would be nicer I thought about 800x600 when I designed the site but decided against based on the visitor stats I have been collecting. These are p...

That sounds like a very complicated task to define. Do you have the beginnings of a formula or concepts in mind? Not yet. This is where the hangup lies :P :P :P I am open to suggestions. I would like to see the following factors in the calculation: 1. Food production per worker factoring in race/pl...

when I first proposed it he did not have room for the code (this was a while ago, I think he now has more space). I do have a lot more space now :) Trash it, or suggest changes as you see fit. This is in the spirit of brainstorming toward a good proposal. 1. Generate the map in the "normal" fashion...

Re: equal
Perhaps create a quadrant and mirror that quadrant *4 rotating as appropriate. This way the maps would be different every time and equal to both or all 4 sides. I have thought of this simple mirroring algorithm but I prefer a less predictable universe. It would be very simple to code. The main prob...

I was thinking of a map balancing switch myself but I am unsure on what method to implement to balance things. I have several ideas. I could implement a simple mirroring algorithm where every quadrant has exactly the same systems or a simple flat map where all the systems are the same. These things ...

Re: WinXP files for LAN play
Where can I get nw16.exe and vwipxspx.exe? These files are part of Windows XP Pro. You may be able to copy them from an XP pro system but I doubt they will work on XP Home. I don't think the instructions I posted on my site will work with XP Home. What you will likely need to do instead is download...

My understanding of what Gusset said is that he can't delete the file even after rebooting. The moment he installs it, it is stuck there. I've never seen this before. Sure maybe you wouldn't be able to delete the file after you run it once because the OS still thinks the program is using the file, b...

Re: Switching between versions of the patch
running the patch file leads to some sort of error involving KaliNT and not meeting VCPI or DPMI specs. I have noticed this error also on occasion but can usually fix it by allowing the patch to create a new desktop icon. If I you pick no to create a new icon, you can get this message. I will look ...
