Many thanks for the quick reply! I did as you recommend and now I have the MOO2 dosbox version, patched with 143. So far it works... 8) I also experimented a little with the editors, and used the gui version. As an executable file I used mo2v140, while in text data file name I inserted test140. So ...

it would be much simpler if you were to download the companion program ocl improved gui,located at my site,place them both in the moo2 dirrectory and run the gui program,most things will be self explanatory,also using the dos version of moo2 will allow alot of additional editing possibilities edit: ...

taking requests for the moo 2 save slot editor,as multiple editors exist and alot of them are realy good,mainly looking for mass edits with a few clicks,similar to what ive already done

update for OCL GUI,the windows will now conform and be smaller(with scroll bars) if the screen res is small,preventing the windows from being off screen,uploaded

iirc the bytes in the unmodded moo2 are in 5+ locations,for patch 140 it alters those addresses with data from one locations,that number is default picks if the command line switch is not used,i simply alter the default picks,instead of writting code to atler the 5 locations,VDC altered the 5+ locat...

that is because the VDC was not altered with ocl,it was hand edited in the 1.31 release code,ocl reads the pick amount through the code that is written for the command line switches in patch 1.40(and they still work),it does not alter the original 1,31 code(it does for negative picks tho),convinienc...

set the building to -1 in building section

edit : rather,set the tech for the building to -1 in building section,but that wont stop the leaders from granting the tech,use the leader editor to remove the tech for desired leader

download both ocl_imp and ocl gui,put them in same folder(moo2 main) run gui,extract etc etc

fixed an oaf error in gui causing auto-fire mod to over-written with enveloping in gui program,uploaded,thank you Overlord2 for the many bug reports :)
