I made a test. factories first or research lab first, with the race: uni, richHW, pop+60, subterran, telepathic, -spying, repulsive -ground combad. I played normal start, 5 planets in home system. Large galaxy, 6 players. (usual setup of our multiplayer games). I played 50 turns. In both cases, pop...

About research lab vs auto factory. Researching some building is not enough, you need to actually produce it. So if you want to test which of this pathes is better for particular race you should check at what turn you will have both buildings produced in homeworld. Even better would be to check at ...

Thats an interesting tech path for several reasons. 1. auto factory before resarch lab? It seems odd to me. Research lab is always the first I tech because it makes everything else faster. Does autofactory so much so that you can stall your research for so long? You have to tech 380-570 (f.garrisio...

In AI games repulsive a little handicap, since it prevents to make trade agreements or exchange techs, so should be weighted higher. Also defense skill could get higher weight, becasue AI doesn't utilize bombers properly. Otherwise all skills are fairly weighted. AI compensates bombers absence by g...

Hi guys! Maybe I failed in research sequence? The showed research sequence was not optimal. I don't sure what are you asking exactly. Do you want to see a direct solutions how to beat Antarans? Or do you want only to see some vague guidelines and then to find the ways by yourself? If the last one, ...

Maybe the reason why I failed is in my non-standart race picks. I found interesting idea to combine Trade Gods and +2 Food to get much gold from food over-production :D Don't like researchers - will try to win with my race... :) You can get much more money by other ways. For example, you may put "e...

I performed some intense bruteforcing and got lucky. The problem this time was hilarious! Either that java update or recent windows update deleted opengl32.dll file from syswow64 system folder - it is just completely mindblowing! What for that was done, i have no slightest idea, it is just so silly....

DosBox got dead, please help!
Several days ago everything worked normal. But now my dosbox doesn't run with the following error: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b)" I googled about and found out that it is a common problem for many applications under Windows 7 x64, but at x32 there is nothing like that. ...

It is reasonable point of view, i agree with you. Anyone can (and already do) change galaxy sizes in hex editor as well as changing anything else. But once again, i know a lot of players, who are not capable even to install hex editor, forget about finding how and which numbers to change. :) But the...

Also there is an interesting idea: why not include configurator exe in mode? For example it will have simple text menu or even just /? help output with list of commands. And players would be able to easily switch the following settings in the all 3 VDC exe files: 1) switching sizes of galaxies (whic...

OK, I will remove it. The update will be ready in several days (expected time on Monday). AI is still very weak strategically, so it is very good it has dampers + shields. I believe most players would like it this way more because at least some additional challenge. Maybe it would be better to incl...
