Heh... all these codifications. How about just telling the droppers (politely) that it's poor sportsmanship? It's hard to keep a fighting spirit when you're getting whipped, but make them prove it! Especially in an x-way. That's when it's time to practice diplomacy with the neutral players. Too bad ...

Save game format header?
Is there a header or an offset table for everything known in the save game file? I see a few bits of info scattered here and there, but I recall someone posted a header on an old moo2 newsgroup (perhaps from their own editor). Is that still around?
Thanks!

Zort mercs maybe, but you'd need Warp Dissapater and an overwhelming amount of missles to keep him from sniping just enough missles and/or running away. The production and command points required to match this strategy aren't very favorable. Fast missle racks might help. Plus, you've got to make you...

So, what's the anti-fleet to a horde of +so warlord C3 armor-piercing DDs? They shoot down your missles and pick off ships without heavy armor. With high beam defense and the ability to retreat in discreet numbers (unlike BBs where one retreat is four command points), these guys are annoyingly resil...

Just the base health for monsters is misleading. Some have more defense: Dragon: BeamAttack +125, BeamDefense +100, MissleEvade 0%, but he's packing 8pd phasors so you need that many more nukes, giving him effectively more health. Hydra: BA +50, BD +40, Evade 0% but equiped with an energy absorber. ...

Addendum -- the rest of the 5 way
This was my first game using uni, tele, trans-d, LRHW -- and it rocked. It's like getting creative for free. By the war with Lars, I had dauntless & RL, hvy armor & auto factories, C3 & WD, positronic & psc.. Alex's defense was brilliant. I accepted the 8t retreat once I realized I couldn't hit him....
