Ya I think the game is ok but you should try the demo first because it is a game that some will love in spite of a few questionable design choices and others will hate. I personaly like it but don't love it. MOO II and GalCiv II are better in my opinion but it is still creative enough that you shoul...

Have to agree that the Sword of the Stars interface is confusing. I like that they tried to stay simple but i don't think it worked well. The Starlanes only apply if you are human. It cuts your options for where you can travel but the humans move VERY fast compared to the other race in the demo. The...

My point with the Production waste is that they are willing to change even some of the more fundemental game functions that many other developers would refuse to. If you are the type to care that much about multiplayer then just wait till they release the expansion for it. They have said they will e...

I don't know why so many of you dislike GalCiv so much. I have played MOO II for many years and loved it. And now I have played GalCiv for nearly 150 hours so far and am loving it just as much. Not for the same reasons though. I think most of you aren't giving it a fair chance. Oh and the demo is no...

Who has heard of GalCiv II?

I have played it for a few days now and I love it and think any MOO II lover should look into it. Also here is the Gamespot review that they just p...

Well I think that you are correct that it is wrong to pool all the PP (Production Points) like they seem to be planning. However I don't think the idea is completely wrong. At the simplest level you defineitly should be able to pool all the planets in a system for larger projects. It gives a very re...

How many of you have heard of Free Orion?
Free Orion is a fan made game that is in development and looks to be quite good to me. A basic beta virsion is avalable and has multiplayer support already. Sadly there is no computer AI at all right now so it is only fun to see what the game is going to be like if you don't have someone to do multi...

Wouldn't something along the general lines of a bell curve be the best answer to this problem? The population growth would scale up and the majority would happen during the middle of the planits growth cycle. Some sort of adjustment to how housing works in with that would also be needed. Maybe somet...
