Can captured colonists revolt if defeated?
I'm playing through...again....and trying out different races and different difficulties. If I have my say about it, I always research Alien Control Center. This time, I didn't get it (why is not the point). The point is, I have captured several enemy colonies. I have defeated a few races altogether...

MAC Command Line Command
First, you gotta copy the MOO2 cd to the mac. I'll assume you put the entire contents under USERNAME\Orion Where USERNAME is presumably the MAC's name. Then find and install that MAC free- or trial-ware version of DosBox. Then, after you install it and run it, the mount command is: mount c ~/orion D...

Yup. There's a MAC version of dosbox, and it was easier to find that than a MAC version of MOO2, cheaper, too. It took a lotta googling and a lotta tweakin, but I got it all up and running. I'd be happy to spread the good cheer if there's any other commies out there running MACs. Before you ask, my girl's a video editor, so she's got a good excuse to running a communist machine. And tell me, if your woman wa...

Yea...my dumbass figured that out last nite. For some reason, "Fast Animations' wound up unchecked. Thanks for your suggestions tho. There's still that issue with "WAITING FOR OPPONENT", but there's always going to be some network lag, and this is still WAY faster than the 95 version. Thanks again, ...

Faster Space Combat?
I've just recently gotten back into MOO2 after a few years off. Got my girl into it too. I figured out dosbox, and how to install through it, how to configure it, and get everything running on my LAN (Thanks Lord Brazen!). But the space combat is SO SLOW on the client machine(s). When I say slow, I ...
