Thus life and development of our species will agree with the evolutionary theory in biology: the strongest survives...is that so? If that's the case, space would be utterly dominated by whichever aliens started exploring the stars first. Its like the Kohr-Ah from Star Control II. We're all doomed! ...

I can't say much on the food issue, I'd hope any aliens that lived in space would have some self-renewing form of sustenance rather than feeding on whatever they find while they're out there (because there usually ain't much out there). If they were attracted to earth because earth happened to have ...

Who's to say that the aliens didn't start hundreds of thousands or millions of years before we ever entered space? If they've been around that long, humanity wouldn't stand a chance in a war, but their civilization would be so advanced they probably wouldn't consider us any more of a threat than gra...

Ethics don't matter where aliens are involved. The industrial side of humanity doesn't seem to be overly concerned with mass extinction of out own animals, why should they care about sentient aliens? Squash 'em all and build factories on their home worlds! And I doubt there'd be much of an ethical d...

No military conflict, as in, closer to an galaxy-wide SimCity than a space conquest game. I figure other conflict could be achieved through things like supply in demand, diplomacy, trading, espionage, and cultural supremacy like with GalCiv. You know, if another empire's planet is dependant on your ...

Moo2 without the war
I've always wanted to build or play a game which plays like Moo2, only without the war aspects of it. I like the colony building, exploration, diplomacy, ship design and all that fun stuff, I just hate how everyone is out to kill each other constantly just because that's what they're supposed to do....

I searched the forum already, but I couldn't find the values I specified in the first post. If you can point me to where they are, I'd appreciate it. Or if you can provide a few byte values near the value that I'm looking for, I could try searching for it in the windows version. (I use windows versi...

Missiles Bases, Batteries and Structure HP
Can someone give me the 1.31 Orion95.exe offsets for Missile Base and Laser Battery space, as well as the planetary structure hit points that's used for them in combat?
Or at least, whichever of these are actually available at the moment. Thanks.

I acquired the game for free courtesy of my brother giving it to me. I played it for something like one to three weeks, and I don't recall all the management stuff being all that bad. Actually what mostly caused me to stop playing was the 5-minute delay between turns that I had to wait, and that's n...
