Uncreative is probably the most fun pick to play against the AI as you're forced to overcome your tech limitations with ideas and strategy you wouldn't even give a second thought usually. (GO! GO! Pulsar frigates of dooooooom!) Picking Uncreative when playing against people though will likely get y...

I've noticed an AI flaw that will cause it to automatically self destruct ships that are immobile. That is not a flaw. It is intentional. They do not want you to capture them. Well it does this even if you CAN'T capture them. It'll even do it if your ships are defenseless and they have you in firin...

I've not noticed major problems using the windows version. it seems to (mostly) run fine in newer versions of windows. It does do one really weird thing. Under some circumstances(mostly when the save game screen is open, but some other times too), things like black holes and planets will suddenly st...

Boosting Advanced City Planning up, sounds like an interesting mod. Maybe, Evolutionary Mutation too. I'd like to choose Both Stealthy Ships and Warlord at the end. I did some testing and found that giving a leader Evolutionary mutation as a free tech does weird things to the game. Not permanent we...

( I would later use the two picks together with the 4 from Evolutionary Mutation to become telepathic) I have never been able to do that. only up to 4 picks. Has anyone else benn able to do this? If so, is there a limit? Can you have -10 picks, and pick 14 char pts. later? granted that would be rat...

Erm... I had one really fun game like that. uncreative, Lithovore, +growth, charismatic and democracy I think. (not sure) I manage to talk all the AIs into giving me practically everything they had. thus I got almost all the techs even though I didn't research many. I prefer Uncreative - in the las...

From what I can recall, I only needed one Destroyer class ship with Cargo Pods and Assault shuttles - send shuttles and get as far away from the Antarans ship as possible. I doubt that you recall this correctly. Um yeah.... he'd have had a pitiful ground combat rating. Heck would he have even had o...
