If you have the DOS version of the game you can play it using dosbox on a Mac.

The most recent patch can be applied from dosbox however it will only apply to the DOS version of the game. Not the windows version or the Mac version.

I have rebuilt the exe that applies the patch. It should now run from within DOSbox. It is in the download section.

This issue is really not the patch. The patch is for the DOS version of the game only. The DOS version of the game can only be run on OS's that support 16-bit DOS programs. Vista and Windows 7 cannot run DOS games directly. In short you need DOSbox. The game and the patch can run fine in DOSbox on a...

I have extracted the patch, and the blasted game still starts up as 1.1. I think you either have the wrong patch zip file or you are not extracting it correctly. The correct zip has an Orion95.exe in it. When unzipping correctly you should be prompted to overwrite files. You must overwrite the file...

Were the released versions compiled with debugging information? Yes the exe in the v1.31 patch zip has full symbol tables. The compiler used was Watcom C. Tables are in that compilers format.
